The village is located in the kilometer 4 of the road from El Pontón to Utiel, called "carretera de la Vega", which crosses it. It has as neighbors the villages of El Azagador and Roma, being towards the direction of Roma where is most of its term, which is contiguous to La Vega drain.
The communications are the common ones to all the villages of the right margin of the Magro river, two daily buses to Requena and other two to Utiel. |

Its name ("Spillway") probably comes from the spills of the old labor houses near there. The beginnings of the village are bound to Casa Oria (today Bodegas Torre Oria), former labor house.
In year 1821 the hermitage was built, by Pedro and Alejo Montes. |

Their surroundings include: the orchards located in the fertile valley of the Magro river, the fields mainly of dry land, with vineyards, olive trees and almond trees, and the small hills or low mounts called Los Visos, which alternate with the watercourses, resulting in a beautiful wild landscape, where one can practice the minor hunting (partridges, rabbits, hares...), and are excellent trekking routes. |
| In spite of the reduced number of inhabitants of the village, it has three warehouses where excellent wines are elaborated. Also there is a poultry farm. |

It was constituted in the year 1957 by 45 partners from El Derramador and El Azagador who united their efforts to obtain a worthy yield and quality harvests, since until then they elaborated the wine individually, or sold their harvests in partnership regime to any warehouse of the zone.
In its beginnings the warehouse was integrated in a single nave, but some time after several extensions have been performed until having at the present time a warehouse with a total capacity of around 2,500,000 liters for the harvests of almost one hundred and ten partners. |

As one may deduce from the capacity of the warehouse and the number of partners, it is a cooperative where most of the elaborated grape comes from the harvests of small orerators, who cultivate their vines in the most traditional form, and from which they obtain, thanks to the wisdom that gives the experience of many years, a very traditional and recognized product.
The warehouse is enrolled within the Regulating Council of the Denomination of Origin Utiel-Requena. It is usual in the warehouses of the zone that most of the production is destined to sale in bulk. Lately, and due to be comprised into the second degree cooperative Coviñas, the proportion of bottled wine sale is increasing year after year. The warehouse gathers the harvests of 365 hectares of own vineyards, with a 80% of grape of Bobal variety and the rest is distributed between Cencibel, Macabeo and Tardana. The annual production is around 1,700,000 liters.

BODEGAS TORRE ORIA
| Founded on 1897 by the family Oria de Rueda, of Basque origin, that arrived to Requena for restoring one already centennial tradition. |

That primitive warehouse, projected in plant of horseshoe and according to the Modernist style by the architect José Donderis, stands still on. Properly rehabilitated, and declared National Artistic Monument, it still keeps in its cellars the old diggings dedicated to the raising and the aging of his wines. The vineyard of Torre Oria is inside the term of El Derramador, known as Dominio del Derramador.
Torre Oria certifies all and each one of its wines and cavas with the distinction of the seal and guarantee of Dominio del Derramador. Since 1997 (celebration of the centenary), and with the purpose of preserving and promoting the culture of the wine, it was created the Cofradía del Vino y del Cava de Torre Oria, an old-style inheritable title given to all those people who are outstanding by their defense of the wine. With baptized imposition of cape, these personalities form part of this Brotherhood. A bottle of wine and a parchment give proof of their honor and distinction. VIÑEDOS Y BODEGAS VEGALFARO
| Bodega de carácter familiar que inició sus primeros pasos en 1980 con la plantación de viñedos. Sus actuales sesenta hectáreas de viñedo se reparten en tres fincas de su propiedad: "Finca La Muela", "Casa Capote" y "Casa Alfaro", con variedades de tempranillo, cabernet sauvignon, merlot, syrah y chardonnay, en función en cada caso de la idoneidad del suelo y del microclima de las fincas, manteniendo viñedo viejo de la variedad bobal. La bodega ha sido equipada con los últimos adelantos tecnológicos desde la recepción de la uva hasta el embotellado, para elaborar vinos de alta calidad en todas sus gamas. La bodega se encuentra situada junto a los viñedos y rodeada de pinar para mantener la frescura. |

El cultivo se realiza siguiendo prácticas culturales naturales, sin utilización de herbicidas ni de
ningún componente que luego se pueda manifestar negativamente en la elaboración.
Nuestras distintas técnicas de vinificación se realizan separando las variedades de uva, para que éstas muestren lo mejor de cada una en nuestros vinos y les confieran así, una personalidad única a base de productos totalmente naturales, sin necesidad de ninguna adición de componentes artificiales.
